Community Outreach

Anaya and Ayana were among 24 Philly kids who received boxes of school supplies from Women Building Dreams for the 2021-22 school year!

Who we are:

In 2018, a small group of friends and co-workers noticed more and more women in our communities struggling with homelessness, hunger, unemployment and other life challenges. We wanted to help, but where to begin? Reaching them all was obviously impossible.

But what was possible was helping one woman at a time. In partnership with Delany Law, we formed Women Building Dreams, and began to help a few local women who needed food, school clothes and holiday gifts for their families. We also began to reach out to other local service organizations that support women, asking how we could join them. Today, we’re helping a growing number of women live lives that are a little bit better and easier.

What we do:

Our mission is to help struggling women move forward, one woman at a time. Our activities include:

*Collecting toiletries, food, and career clothing for homeless women and women living in poverty.

*Adopting single mothers and their families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, providing food and gifts.

*Sponsoring flea markets to showcase small women-owned businesses.

*Organizing in-kind donations and making financial contributions to local non-profits that support women.

Help us make a difference, one woman at a time:
